Mower Incentive Program
PERC seeks to place as many as 600 new propane-fueled commercial lawn mowers into service nationswide through this new program.
Eligible professional mowing firms can get up to $1,000 for buying a qualifying propane-fueled commercial mower with a cutting deck of 60 inches to 72 inches. The firm must share details with PERC about its use and operation of the mower for one year. Many major manufacturers offer propane-fueled mowers that qualify, including Bob-Cat, Cub Cadet, Dixie Chopper, Exmark, Gravely, Husqvarna, Kubota, Scag Power Equipment, Zipper, and Briggs & Stratton and its Ferris and Snapper Pro lines.
Propane-fueled mowers cost less to operate and produce fewer harmful emissions than gasoline-fueled mowers. Propane mowers can reduce carbon monoxide emissions by more than 80 percent and greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 50 percent compared with gasoline mowers.
This incentive program joins PERC’s Mower Dealer Demonstration program which will place 300 propane mowers with equipment dealers nationwide to demonstrate the performance, reliability, and easy refueling of propane mowers.
